Legendary audio engineers John Senior and Bill Mauchly sit down with Arturia Sound to discuss their collaboration on the SQ-80 V.

We teamed up with local Director of Photography Collin Welch to produce a timeless story surrounding musical innovation, raw talent, and innovative visions for the future of sound. To create this branded video, we spent the day with industry legends John Mauchly and Bill Senior, original Ensoniq creators responsible for many of the synth sounds we know today. Throughout filming, the project aimed to explore Mauchly and Senior's insight and history while creating the legendary SQ-80. With great collaboration and attention to detail, we filmed and edited the branded video in the Philadelphia area. After delivery, Arturia's creative team added the motion design in France, where the company is headquartered.

Arturia's new keyboard, the SQ-80 V, is a digitally reimagined version of Bill and John's work over three decades ago. The video is showcased on Arturia's website, YouTube, and social media and has stacked up over 75K views from fans and music heads worldwide.
